Remote Mental Health Therapist

Tree of Life Counseling Center is currently looking to expand our services to the entirety of Utah through adding a telehealth provider to our team. For this position, you will have the opportunity to provide mental health therapy via telehealth within full-time or part-time hours. This position includes some benefits including paid time off, five paid holidays, retirement (401k w/ employer match), paid continuing education and semi-flexible schedule. We offer a pay per clinical hour model. Pay is dependent on training, experience/licensure, and the number of hours you want to work per week.

We are a generalist practice and serve clients with a variety of mental health conditions. Therapists are encouraged to use their interventions of choice to do the best possible work with our clients. We have a great team and support a collaborative work environment with frequent team meetings and group supervision. All meetings and supervision (group and individual) is fully supported by Tree of Life at no cost to you.

Position Details:

  • Full-time or Part-time position available

  • Fully remote (telehealth) position available

  • Pay range $35-$55, DOE and hours worked

  • Therapists work within our business hours to create a consistent schedule

  • Supervision provided at no cost (individual and group)

  • Employee development plan which includes full or partial funding for continuing education and training seminars.

Therapist responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Diagnose clients with behavioral and mental illness in keeping with the DSM-V-TR diagnostic criteria

  • Providing psychotherapy to individuals/couples/families

  • Provide services in a professional and focused office environment, ensuring privacy and no distractions. 

  • Document client records in our electronic health record system

  • Maintain licensure in good standing with the State of Utah Department of Professional Licensing

  • Maintain code of ethics and confidentiality of all client information in keeping with HIPAA

  • Ensure quality standards are met in providing patient-centered, outcome driven behavioral health care.

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • Masters Degree or higher from an accredited university/college in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or Psychology.

  • 1000 hours post-grad supervision completed (preferred)

  • License required: LCSW, CSW, CMHC, AMHC, LMFT, AMFT

  • Proficiency using Google Workspace as well as the ability to learn new software programs quickly

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Physical/Environmental Requirements: Frequently required to sit or stand, use manual dexterity, speak, listen, hear, and write. If remote, the office should maintain a professional appearance and atmosphere, ensuring privacy and minimal distractions to provide focused teletherapy services. Works in an office environment with little or occasional light physical effort.
