Still therapy. More support.
At Tree of Life Counseling Center, therapy remains at the center of care.
Our optional care model adds support around therapy so you are not carrying everything alone between sessions. Depending on your needs, that may include process groups, practical resources, support from your care team, and involvement from important people in your life when that is clinically helpful.
We are currently enrolling a limited number of participants.
What stays the same
You still work with a licensed therapist.
Your therapist remains responsible for your clinical care.
Therapy is provided ethically and within scope.
Insurance can still be used for therapy sessions when applicable.
This model supports therapy. It does not replace it.
What is different
The difference is that your care does not have to depend on one therapy hour each week alone.
With this model, you may also receive:
support between sessions
guidance from a broader care team
therapist-led process groups
practical resources and educational support
involvement from your spouse or other important relationships when appropriate
help staying connected to your treatment goals over time
The goal is not more for the sake of more.
The goal is better support, better continuity, and care that reaches the systems and relationships that shape healing.
Why people choose this
For many people, therapy is meaningful in session but harder to carry into daily life and close relationships.
This care model is designed to help bridge that gap by offering more support between appointments, more continuity over time, and opportunities to work through healing not only individually, but also in connection with others.
For some clients, one of the most meaningful parts of this model is the opportunity to participate in a therapist-led process group with other clients who are doing similar work. That can create support, perspective, accountability, and the kind of shared experience that often helps therapy go deeper.

How access works
If you are a client at Tree of Life Counseling Center, the types of support available to you do not change based on whether you are using insurance or self-pay.
What matters most is what you and your therapist agree would be helpful for your care. If additional support makes sense, it can be added to your treatment right away.
We will help you understand your payment options, including when therapy sessions may be billed to insurance and when self-pay may apply.
Who this may be for
This may be a good fit if you want:
support beyond a single weekly session
care that can adapt as your needs change
a therapist who can support your work across settings
opportunities to heal in relationship, not only in isolation
an option whether you are using insurance or self-pay
Next step
If you want to explore whether this approach is right for you, the next step is a conversation.
We will help you understand your options and decide what level of support makes the most sense for your needs, without pressure.

Q and A
Is this still therapy?
Yes. You still work with a licensed therapist, and your therapist remains responsible for your clinical care. This model is designed to support therapy, not replace it.
What is different about this model?
The main difference is that your care does not have to depend on one therapy hour alone. Depending on your needs, you may also have access to process groups, practical resources, added support between sessions, and involvement from important people in your life when appropriate.
What kinds of added support might be available?
Support may include therapist-led process groups, care-team support, practical resources, educational support, and help staying connected to your treatment goals between appointments.
What is a process group?
A process group is a therapist-led group experience where clients can work on healing in relationship with others. It gives people the chance to be supported, understood, and challenged in real time while also learning from the experiences of others.
Why would group support matter if I already have individual therapy?
Many people find that individual therapy helps them understand themselves, while group work helps them practice new ways of relating, communicating, and healing in connection with others. The two can work together in a powerful way.
Will I still see my therapist regularly?
Many clients do. Some people receive weekly or biweekly therapy along with added support. Others may have therapist oversight with therapy scheduled based on clinical need. We will help determine what makes the most sense for your care.
Can my spouse or family be involved?
Sometimes, yes. When it is clinically helpful, your care may involve a spouse or other important relationships as part of the healing process.
Do all clients use every kind of support?
No. Support is based on your needs and what is likely to be helpful. Not every client will use every option.
Can I use insurance?
Yes, when applicable, insurance may still be used for psychotherapy sessions. We will explain how this works as part of the intake process.
Does my access to support change if I use insurance instead of self-pay?
No. The types of support available to you do not change based on how you pay. What matters most is what you and your therapist agree would be helpful for your care.
What does the monthly fee cover?
The monthly fee covers the added structure and support available through this care model. This may include process groups, between-session support, practical resources, and ongoing connection to your treatment plan.
Is this a good fit if I only want traditional therapy?
Some clients are looking only for traditional therapy, and that may still be the best fit. Others want support that extends beyond the therapy hour. We can help you understand your options.
What if I am not sure which support option is right for me?
That is completely okay. The next step is simply a conversation. We will help you understand your options and decide what level of support makes the most sense for your care.
What happens next if I am interested?
